About Öresundsfiske

Welcome to Öresundsfiske!

“Öresundsfiske” means “fishing in the Sound,” and that’s exactly what we do. The Öresund strait, fondly called just “the Sound” by locals, is home to some of Sweden’s best recreational fishing waters.

Öresundsfiske offers fishing tours in the southern part of the Öresund, where we can find plentiful Atlantic cod, sea trout, Atlantic herring, Atlantic mackerel, and many varieties of flatfish like flounder, turbot and plaice. With Limhamn harbor as our point of departure, both shorter and longer fishing tours are able to reach a number of active fishing spots.

Our boat, the M/Y Spinnaren, has a spacious aft deck that can fit a total of 12 individuals on board, including the captain. We often limit the number of anglers on a tour, however, in order to allow for the best possible fishing experience. Going out on a smaller fishing tour on the Öresund is ideal not only because we can adapt the tour to the fishing conditions of the day, but also because of the special feeling of adventure and camaraderie you’ll find as part of a small group.

Both beginner and more experienced sport fishers will find our fishing tours enjoyable and challenging, and we welcome individuals, groups and companies. We have equipment available for rent, and the captain is more than happy to give advice or instruction on fishing techniques.

The majority of our tours are directed towards traditional cod fishing. Every Friday, however, we make a special tour that is longer and may include a wider variety of fishing techniques including, for example, trolling for sea trout and angling for flounder, mackerel and other species.

Captain Björn

The captain onboard the M/Y Spinnaren is Björn Tungsten, who was born and raised in Lomma, a small seaside town just 10 km north of Malmö. For the last three years, he has lived in Limhamn, which is also the home base for Öresundsfiske’s fishing tours.

Favorite places to fish: the Öresund, the Norwegian coast, and Hanö Bay

Favorite fish: Cod, Sea trout, Mackerel, Atlantic Halibut and Salmon

Après-fishing

The day doesn’t have to end when your fishing tour does!

Öresundsfiske has partnered with La Caravelle, a Mediterranean restaurant in quaint Limhamn, to offer a special finish to your fishing boat tour. You can enjoy the meal of your own caught fresh fish in a relaxed and comfortable environment. This is the perfect end to the day for intrepid gourmets who would like to enjoy the fruits of their labors.  This service is available Monday-Sunday from 5 p.m.

Or, if you are interested in cooking yourself, we also cooperate with Margareta Schildt-Landgren who is inviting to her well equiped kithcen for cooking of today’s catch. Among other things, Margareta is well known as a writer on the subject “Nordic kitchen” and has written several books on this theme. Margareta will gladly help you out in the kitchen and takes care of everything regarding preparation, drinking desires etc. This service is primary available Monday-Friday but can be arranged on weekends on request.
